POSTER Design
A poster designed for an event for the Federation of Clinical Immunology Societies (FOCIS), focused on improving human health through immunology by fostering interdisciplinary approaches to both understand and treat immune-based diseases. The poster is a sort of play on the company name, FOCiS. The type on the right moves your focus between the information and the entire image of a mans face.
Layout Design
The concept for this magazine stemmed from my love for science. I wanted to create a resource that was useful for the general public and was not dependent on the reader having an educational background in science. The magazine covers a wide range of topics- environmental science, biology, chemistry, etc. The hope is that the science is easy to follow and the graphics help readers to better understand the articles presented. All of the articles are taken from different sources from the web.
BOOK COVER Design
During school I spent a lot of time flipping through science textbooks and staring at textbook covers that blended together over time. My goal was to create a cover that was inviting to readers. Something that was interesting and did not follow the trend of covers consisting solely of science photographs.
Poster Design
In 2014 I was diagnosed and treated for Thyroid Cancer. My doctor suggested I visit the website for ThyCa: Thyroid Cancer Survivors' Association, Inc. As a personal project, I rebranded ThyCa. The project was an emotional outlet.
